Wascana Trails Gravel Loop - 31km

Lumsden, SK

Description:

This loop starts and ends at the Wascana Trails Recreation Area. There is a large parking lot here and an outhouse in the parking lot.

The route runs in a counter-clockwise direction taking you down a steep hill right off the start followed by an equally punchy climb back out of the valley. Watch for traffic.

You then turn north on the paved Highway 734 which can be busy at times. Before long you turn left onto grid/dirt roads which take you to Lumsden Sk and it's James Street descent. Watch for stop signs and traffic. Pick up something in town at Jane Dough's if you would like a snack. They will fill your bottles as well.

Depart Lumsden for the famous Seven Bridges Road which you will ride in the uphill direction. Enjoy the sting in the tail as you climb out of the valley and head back to Wascana Trails on grid roads.
