Esterhazy Gravel Quest - 54km

Esterhazy, SK

Description:

This course is truly one of the best gravel routes in southern Saskatchewan.  It showcases the rolling terrain of the eastern Qu’Appelle Valley, made even more stunning by the vibrant autumn colors.

Along the way, cyclists can pause at two breathtaking viewpoints, offering perfect opportunities to take in the scenery. Bald eagles, deer, elk, moose, and possibly even bear can be seen while riding.

The multi-surface terrain will keep things exciting, with short but punchy inclines reaching 10% as you navigate prairie switchbacks.  Keep an eye out for the mysterious shack hidden in the bush.  Could it be a hunting cabin or a bug-out shelter?  You’ll also pass by intriguing abandoned buildings that add to the character of the ride.

Note that there are no resupply points anywhere on this route.  Cell service may be intermittent, and some of the route is on double track that experiences ATV traffic, so keep your eyes peeled.

One thing is certain, you are going to love this route!
