The long course includes a little bit of everything from a smidge of highway, grid roads, rail trail, winding double track, grass trails, and farm access roads. With a bonus stop at the Kapsovar Historic site.
This course is truly one of the best gravel routes in south eastern Saskatchewan. It showcases the rolling terrain of the eastern Qu’Appelle Valley, made even more stunning when ridden during the autumn months.
This mixed surface route passes by many potash mines, bison ranches, cruises the rolling hills of the Qu'Appelle Valley, provincial parks, and historic settlements. The route is front loaded in terms of climbing and gravel terrain.
Duck Mountain sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment featuring some great cycling, xc skiing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, a top level golf course, and a beautifully clear lake. Definitely give this route a try.
